Vegas 2014

my family spent a few days tearing up Las Vegas, Nevada.

here's how it went...

1. our pre-flight drinks. you know my family is always all about the pre-game.
2. my parents and I right before take off. peace Ohio!
3. momma and I waiting for my dad to park the car before heading into the airport.

after landing in Vegas, we checked into our hotel, The Mirage. and then we headed over to the Luxor to see Carrot Top perform.

he was pretty funny. my favorite part was when a bottle of Crown Royal came down from the ceiling via a bucket, and he passed out shots to a few people. I thought that was pretty cool, would have been even better had myself or someone in my family been offered one of the shots.

after the show we decided to have a late night dinner before calling it a night. (it was about 11pm Vegas time, which meant our bodies thought it was 2am.) we ate at T&T Tacos & Tequila located right there in the Luxor. man was it delicious. they had three different salsas to snack on, with three different hot sauces, that alone was great. but then I tried my food, I ordered the veggie tacos, and they were hands down the best tacos I ever had. so freaking good.

the next day we did some early morning drinking by the pool. I mean, how else are you supposed to start your day when you're in Vegas?

1. The Mirage
2. Kelsey and I "triple fisting"
3. cherry vodka and sprite, my go-to drank.
4. Brad, Kelsey, Brian, me, and Dad.

then we acted like total tourists, before walking around the Las Vegas Strip.

1. Brad and I twinning it up.
2. my family
3. my family with Brad and Kelsey.

while walking the strip we stopped and played some beer pong at O'Sheas.

and then headed to Harrah's to eat at Toby Keith's I Love This Bar & Grill. yummo, it's one of my favorite restaurants. every time my food is amazing. this time I ordered the shrimp blt po-boy. it was one of the best sandwiches I've ever had. for my drink I ordered a georgia peach in the boot, it was also really good.

1. us with our boot drinks.
2. my georgia peach.

after lunch we headed over to New York, New York. things like this happened along the way.

1. dad and Brian 'fighting' in the ring.
2. escalators, Elf style.
3. mom, Kelsey, and Brian.

first stop in NYNY, Nine Fine Irishmen. after enjoying some Guinness and Irish Cider Beer accompanied with beer cheese dip, we rode the NY rollercoaster, and then hopped around to three different bars collecting our free drinks. (we had a coupon thing that gave us a free drink each at a few different bars inside New York New York.)

1. my Irish Cider Beer.
2. Kelsey and I causing havoc.
3. the gals.

fast forward to the next day. Randy and Melissa join us in Vegas. we did some O'Sheas drinking and then found a selfie machine, which we took full advantage of. I had an absolute blast hanging out with my siblings in Vegas.

naturally we had to do an O-H-I-O

the next day one of my dads friends and his wife joined us. we took a ride on the High Roller, which was pretty cool. it's a giant ferris wheel that takes 30min to make a full rotation, and is 550 feet at it's highest point. after the ride we came upon another selfie machine.

my family then switched hotels. we went from The Mirage to the Downtown Grand, which is a new hotel in the old downtown Vegas area. my uncle, aunt, and cousin arrived and we took more selfies.

1. the High Roller
2-5. selfie machine.

for our final day//night in the wild Vegas, we spent our day drinking free bottles of Captain Morgan and Fireball, while playing cornhole poolside. it was awesome. (sidenote: people who live out west do not know how to play cornhole. it was very amusing.)

that evening my best friend Ashley and her husband joined us. Ashley lives in Texas now, so before Vegas I hadn't seen her in about nine months. I was so glad I got to see her.

the flight home was extremely rough. all I wanted to do was sleep the whole ride, but there was so much turbulence I barely slept at all. once we landed in the CLE and stepped outside I knew we were home, it was literally a 30 degree temperature drop. thanks, Ohio.

Vegas 2014 was AMAZING to say the least. so many great memories.

'til next time, cheers!

  1. Glad you had such a good time! We stayed at the Mirage too, the first night we even had one of those fancy suites. That was nice. I did not ride that roller coaster and I have no idea why. I have to say that I had no idea what "cornhole" is before I first came to Ohio!
